§ 01 What I shoot Ongoing themes · Updated 2026

A logbook,
not a résumé.

I'm a hobbyist learning to call himself a photographer. Rather than invent client projects I don't have yet, here's what I actually shoot — six ongoing themes I keep coming back to. If any of them fit what you need, the contact form is at the bottom.

[ 01 ] Motion & Motorsport Cars and bikes — sometimes parked under perfect light, sometimes blurred at 1/40s. The mechanical, the fast, and the long lens that makes both look better. PanningLong lens70–200mm
[ 02 ] Cities at Night Long exposures of empty streets, light trails, Christmas illuminations, the colour of sodium lamps. The hour after most people have gone home. Long exposureTripodAfter dark
[ 03 ] Landscape & Weather Pyrenean forests turning red, fog over a lake, an empty mountain pass. Hours waiting, occasionally rewarded. WideSlowPatience
[ 04 ] Stillness & Animals A swan dripping water back into a pond, koi cutting the surface of a black pool. Quiet observation when nothing else is going on. TelephotoNatural lightSingle frame
[ 05 ] Travel & Documentary Tokyo temples and a rickshaw driver in Asakusa. People in places, photographed without staging — the hardest discipline of all. 35mmAvailable lightHonest
[ 06 ] First commissioned work I've shot for myself for a few years. Now I'd like to do it with a brief, a deadline and a coffee with you. Editorial, automotive, portrait — let's talk. Open2026Madrid + travel

I don't take pictures moments.
I keep them where they fall
half remembered, fully exposed,
and almost always by accident.

§ 03 — About the photographer

Hi, I'm Luis. I'm an engineer by day, a photographer on the weekends, and an amateur in the original sense — I do this for love, not a fee.

I started shooting in 2021 with a borrowed K1000. Now I have too many cameras and not enough time. I work in long projects with no deadline — sometimes a single frame takes a year to find.
